Wye Forge Bed and Breakfast
LOCATION

The Forge –
Once home to the village Farrier, whose job was to tend to the local working horses, the Forge has been transformed into a most attractive and peaceful dwelling. Adjacent to the original Coach House, the Forge is situated at the end of a drive in a courtyard patio garden in the heart of the village.
Many of its original features have carefully been retained with high vaulted ceilings, beams and posts.
The building is of Kent Red Brick, black stable doors, and Kent Peg Tiles.
A step back in time……simply charming!

  Wye –
Nestled in a valley, close to the North Downs and surrounded by the beautiful Weald of Kent, Wye makes for an ideal location to explore the countryside and sample the rural way of life.
The village is blessed with many of the necessary amenities to make for a perfect stay – hostelries, restaurants, banks, the village post office, a mini market are all here. Even a thriving Farmers Market takes place on the Village Green twice monthly.
In this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the Wye Nature Reserve with footpaths that run along the scarp face of the Wye Downs, providing spectacular panoramic views of Kent seen at its most glorious.
Whilst the River Stour runs through the bottom of the village, the Wye Crown, a landmark etched into the side of the hills, overlooks the top of the village.
With the ancient city of Canterbury but a short distance a way, London within easy commuter distance, Gatwick the nearest international airport, and both Eurostar and Eurotunnel close by, Wye is ideally situated.

  Kent –
Famously known as the Garden of England, Kent is a large and varied county. Inland is the Weald, with rolling hills, farms and country villages. Patchwork fields full of livestock or crops, orchards and winding country lanes dominate the landscape. To the south are the flat marshlands and lying on the coast are the ancient and quaint Cinque Ports. Whilst Kent is steeped in history with many Castles, Stately Homes and Gardens, it is also dynamic and progressive and indeed acts as the Gateway to Europe with excellent transport links such as the M20 motorway and the fast rail system from London to Folkestone and beyond!
